Georgia (Schroeder) Michon

Carol Georgia Carol Michon was born on May 6, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of William and Luella (Snyder) Schroeder. During grade school she was a majorette in Maumee's American Legion Post 320 "Maumee Sons". This led to many years in the Color Guard of "The Glassman" Drum and Bugle corps, where she met the one-and-only love of her life, her husband, Ted Michon. Upon graduation from Maumee High School in 1967, Georgia worked at the University of Toledo in the Theater Department as a secretary. During Ted's service in the Navy, they moved to Puerto Rico where she worked in a bank. After this return to Toledo, Ohio, Georgia held many roles within St. Vincent Medical Center (Mercy Health Partners) including Executive Administrative Assistant to presidents within the Mercy Foundation. Georgia married Theodore J. Michon Jr. in 1970 and leaves behind two children, Teddy Michon III and Anthony (Malgosia) Michon, Georgia's life exemplified the importance of sharing her time and talent with family and friends and being a person for others. She loved spending time with her two sisters, Della Ward and Debra (Jim) Thomas; her nephew, Jim Thomas Jr. and niece, Heather Thomas. While living in Toledo, Georgia and Ted attended Augsburg Lutheran Church and later St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Georgia really enjoyed music, gardening, film and photography in addition to being outdoors and traveling. Georgia and her husband for over 25 years were partners in a family photography business "TG Photo". She is remembered through her loving husband, Ted Michon Jr., her family, friends, colleagues and those that encountered her through her life. Georgia's family wants to thank Dr. Horvath, his staff and the staff at St. Anne's Hospital of Northwest Ohio. A private memorial has been planned with arrangements entrusted to the Thomas I.
